A lovely family and pram friendly walk for a dry day setting off from a lovely little village.
Only thing to note is parking, there is ample street parking and a small car park but both were very busy on a cold but sunny winter day so imagine it could be chaos on warm days.
School Rooms tea shop is a lovely place to get a brew or a bite to eat at the end of your walk.
Nice little find on a Bank holiday Monday, a lot quieter than the more famous reservoirs. A good 6 mile walk if you take in the Arden reservoir at the other side of the village as well. Mostly level so can suit most abilities. Parked on the road at the south side and entered the path at one of the gaps along the road.
Loved it here, a very nice place to go for a walk, run or just sit out for some quiet 'me' time with nature. I love that it feels very natural , I particularly love the trees (am excited I met he trees green). Great guide signs...
Enjoyed a walk on a beautiful Autumn day
Truly a beautiful scenery. Lovely to walk around the reservoir with your family and friends. First time here and it feels refreshing to be out of the city and enjoy some scenery.
I will definitely be coming here again when the weather is great.
Daughter is at Uni of Sheffield and we needed somewhere to visit outside due to Covid restrictions early in April.
We did the full 3 1/3 miles in just under 80 minutes. It’s nice and flat so a nice easygoing walk for all ages.
Pick a nice day to go as high wind and rate can make it a challenge!
Stunning place. Absolutely beautiful scenery. Car parking is roadside and it can get very busy at weekends.
Great walk for all the family, plenty of parking on the bridge. Cycling not allowed which is great as no fear of getting run into like other parks/walks. Lovely views, enjoyed by like minded, friendly people. Dogs allowed on leads. Can fish in certain areas, decent pike apparently. Tickets can be purchased from the vending machine (see photo). No toilet or refreshment facilities. There is a pub near by called the Plough which is excellent.
